- Mary Ellen Doan Swinford, 83 of Seminole Trail, homemaker and widow of James Webber Swinford died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at her home.A native of Kokomo, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Rexford Napolean and Marguerite Drollinger Doan and was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, Michigan. Survivors include one son, James (Pam) Swinford, Georgetown; 6 grandchildren, Ward and John Swinford, Shelley Swinford Herald, Junior, Kevin and Tony Bowman; 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Donald R. Doan, Georgetown and 3 sisters, Norma Jean Lee, Sadieville, Gwendolyn Lancaster, Borden, IN and Doris Mulberry, Georgetown. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Sandra Kay Bowman and Linda Ann Swinford.Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday at Johnson?s Funeral Home by Bro. Bennie Robbins. Burial will be in Crestlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Swinford's grandsons and great grandsons will serve as casket bearers. Visitation will be after 11:00AM until time of services at the funeral home.
