Gary Dean Rowley 76, Richardson, Texas, died Sunday, July 29, 2007, athis home.
He was born June 25, 1931, in Oberlin to Gerald Drollinger and ArleneVerda (Chapin.) He later was adopted by Johnnie Lyle Rowley. Heattended Norton Elementary School, Norton Junior High School, and wasa 1950 graduate of Norton Community High School. He attended KansasState University, Manhattan, graduating with a bachelor of sciencedegree in industrial and manufacturing systems engineering in 1955.
He married Carmen Louise Schoen on Dec. 19, 1954, in Clayton. Heworked for Rockwell/Collins for 32 years prior to retiring in 1989. Hewas a U.S. Army veteran, serving from June 1955 to July 1, 1957.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Barton Alan Rowley,Richardson, Texas, and Gavin Drew Rowley, Denton, Texas; a daughter,Dorinda Ann Bazanele, Lavon, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Norton Cemetery,with military honors by Harmonson-Redd American Legion Post No. 63,Norton.
