- Dave passed away at his home under the care of his family and Hands of Hope Hospice. He was born to Orson David Harding and Barbara Mae Moore, grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School. On January 15, 1983, he married Karen Jean Empey in Idaho Falls. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where Dave worked as a welder for Idaho Steel Products. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed welding, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and hunting. Survivors beside Karen included: daughters Onni Kaye (Larry Davis) Harding, Elena Erikka (Scott D.) Hunting and Elissa Lynn Hayward, all of Idaho Falls; sister Marianne (Randy) Young of Shelley; and 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceding were daughter Karrie Marie Drollinger Bennett and in-laws Keith and Robert Empey. His family thanked Dr. Timothy O. Taylor and staff, Dr. Brad Adams, Brittany Ohman, Kylee Belnap, the staff of Teton Cancer Institute, Dr. Ryan Bair and staff, Dr. Brandon Kelly, and Dr. Brad Smith, Korrie, DeVry, Liz, J. J. and Breeana at Hands of Hope Hospice for their kindness and loving care. Memorial donations made to Reel Recovery, a non-profit organization that conducts fly-fishing retreats for men living with all forms of cancer. Celebration of Life held August 18th at Wood Funeral Home East Side.
