- Doris Reed Trullinger, 92, of Harrisburg, died on December 8, 2014, after an extended stay at the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg.
She was born on November 9, 1922, the eighth child of the late Thomas W. and. Grace M. Reed.
She married Robert S. Trullinger in 1942. He preceeded her in death in 2001. Mrs. Trullinger lived all of her life in the Harrisburg area where she was active in her church as parish secretary and in various PTA groups. She also worked as the secretary in the office of her husband's life insurance agency. Mrs. Trullinger was especially proud of her work as a teacher of Braille transcribers. She was known for her sharp intellect and keen sense of humor which she possessed right up to her death.
Mrs. Trullinger is survived by her son, Robert, and his wife, Julia Daniels, her daughter, Janice O'Neill; three grandchildren: Alex Trullinger, Sean and Brooke O'Neill; and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the Library Lounge of the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg, 4000 Linglestown Road, on Saturday, January 10, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg or to the Colonial Park Public Library for large print books.
