Deaths and Funerals
Mrs. Samuel Drollinger
Mrs. Effie E. Drollinger, 73, wife of Samuel Leroy Drollinger of 213 Blaine Ave, died at 7:40 a.m. today in City Hospital. She had been in the hospital since July 28 when she was admitted following an automobile accident at Upper Sandusky.
Her husband is in University Hospital in Colum(bus) at t- errofsub(?) Hospital in Columbus for treatment of injuries suffered in the one-car crash occurring when the automobile in which the Drollingers were riding struck a tree. Mrs. Florence Eccarius of Mansfield, their daughter, driver of the car, was for a time in Wyandot Memorial Hospital at Upper Sandusky, and a grandson, Walter Bahr of Maron (Marion), also a passenger, was taken to University Hopsital where he underwent an operation. Both are now recovered.
Mrs. Drollinger was June 12, 1880, in Kenton, a daughter of Joshua and Mary Kahler Obenour. Her marriage was Nov. 20, 1909. A resident of Marion 32 years, she came here from Akron.
Surviving with her husband and daughter and grandson who were in the accident, are another daughter, Mrs. Thelma Bosh of Sandusky, and sister and brothers, Mrs. James Bowen of Ada, Mrs. Charles Ferriman of Marion, Mrs. Mike Fillhart of Fostoria, Ernest Obenour of Marshall, Mich., and Harry Obenour of McGuffey, O.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 pm in the M. H. Gunder Sons Funeral Home on W. Center St. Rev. Ashley G. Booth of Central Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 tonight.
