Notes - Obituary: "George E. Stoup of RR 1, Kingman, age 89, died Tuesday morning, July 15, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. He was born August 29, 1890, in Fountain County, the son of Oliver and Eliza Kiger Stoup. January 25, 1912, he married Florence Payton, who survives.
He was a retired farmer and had been a mechanic at Yeddo Grain Company. He was a member of Kingman Odd Fellows Lodge since 1916 and of the Royal Neighbors of America since 1921.
Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Hazel Peters of Indianapolis, Mrs. Carrie Geisler and Mrs. Mildred Schunke, both of Gilman, Illinois, Mrs. Mary Wrede of Hillsboro, Mrs. Martha Brinkman of RR 2, Attica, and Mrs. Minnie Kroll of Milford, Illinois; a son, George H. of RR 1, Kingman; 24 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Bertha Knox officiating. Burial was in Harveysburg Cemetery."
