Some confusion arises as to whether Elsa had birthed one or two babies on 25 May 1911. As of today's date (10 Jan 2022) one birth certificate (Certificate # 13197) can be found which is for a male baby and one death certificate (Certificate # 50) can be found which is for a female baby. So, did Elsa only have one baby where the sex of the baby was identified as a male on its birth certificate and as a female on its death certificate constituting a mistake by the record keeper? Or, did Elsa actually have twins, one being male and the other female whereby no death certificate was generated for the male baby and no birth certificate was generated for the female baby? Or, has Ancestry.com simply not yet posted the other birth and death certificates to their website? Regardless of whether Elsa had twins or a single baby, no evidence exists that they survived to adulthood.
