Funeral services for Francis M. Rusing, who d. July 6 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ransom Wagoner, near Veedersburg, after a lingering illness with heart trouble. Services were held at the New Century United Brethren Church Fri afternoon at 2 o'clock Rev. OW McGaughey of Veedersburg in charge. Singers were Mrs. Ralph Nelson and Mrs. Monte Boatman with Mrs. Jack Cook at the piano. pall bearers were Clarence Earl, Lawrence and Donald Drullinger, Clark and Wayne Hershberger, Eugene Chrisman and Vernal Wagoner. The tribute bearers were Agnes Drullinger, Neona Chrisman, Marilyn Nenstel, Lamoine, Mildred, Mabel, Huber and Harold Wagoner. The Corbin sisters sang Abide with Me and Is It Well With My Soul with Miss Iva Reynolds at the organ. Bur. in Bonebrake cemetery So. of Veedersburg.

Francis Marion, s/o Thomas G & Mary Eliz. Collwell Rusing was b. in Ft. Co In on March 12, 1861 and has lived in that immediate vicinity during his entire life. On March 4, 1891, he was married to Dora A. Hershberger who departed this life on March 28, 1926. To this union was b. one child, a daughter, now Mrs. Ransom Wagoner. On March 4, 1931, he was again united in married with Anna Drollinger who also preceded him in death on March 17, 1936. he was next to the youngest child in a large family of children, all of whom with the parents have gone on before with the exception of his youngest sister, Mrs. Mary Olive Drollinger of Indianapolis, in. He was a member of the New Century United Brethren church and was a faithful and willing worker in all of the church activities as his health and means permitted. He always had a cheery greeting for his many friends and loved ones and was most courageous and hopeful through his last trying affliction. in the early morning hours of July 6, 1938 at the age of 77 3 months and 25 days he passed peacefully to his reward leaving to mourn his loss the daughter, Dott Wagoner; five grandchildren Vernal, Mildred, Mabel, Huber and Harold Wagoner; one sister, Mrs. Mary O. Drollinger; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. [Transcribed]
