Doris met the love of her life and married John Monroe Drullinger on October 31, 1959. First and foremost, she was a wife and mother, raising five children. When grandchildren followed, she became lovingly known as ?Mama Doris?. She was an excellent seamstress and made many of her family's clothes. She was an amazing cook and well known for her homemade candy. She cracked and shelled her own pecans by the bucketful. Her pecan pies and mayonnaise cakes were the first to go (sometimes before the meals).
