- Nadine Hodge, 68, Fruitland, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 8, 2004, with her family by her side. Funeral services wilt be Monday, Dec. 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the Christian Life Fellowship Church, Ontario, Ore., with Pastor Jack Becker officiating. Interment will follow at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Ontario's Lienkaemper Chapel.
Nadine was born Sept. 2, 1936 in Ava, Mo. to Foy and Hope Scott. As a child she moved to Parma, Idaho, where she was raised and graduated from high school. She then attended business college in Boise, earning a degree in bookkeeping. She was later employed by Idaho Power in Homedale for five years. In 1957 she met Ernie Hodge and on April 1, 1960 they were married. In 1961 Nadine became an active member of the Nampa Jaycee-ettes for a period of 10 years. She moved to Weiser with her husband in 1967, where they opened a Dodge dealership. Nadine became an active member of the Christian Life Fellowship Church, where she was a secretary and bookkeeper for a number of years. She was very active in the End Times Handmaidens, an international organization. Her heart's desire. was to serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In tater years she was bookkeeper for James Skousen.
She was a wonderful and loving wife and her husband's very best friend. They spent most of their time together traveling throughout the United States and parts of Canada. Many times over the last several years their enjoyment of Southern Gospel music took them to Branson, Mo. She was a great mother, highly respected and loved by her children, instilling in them a respect and love for others. Nadine was a very compassionate person, always willing to help those in need. The nurses at St. Luke's Hospital. MSTI Unit made the comment she was an inspiration to the personnel of 4-South, thinking of others before herself, and never once did she complain while in treatment.
She is survived by her husband Ernie Hodge of Fruitland; a daughter and son-in-law, Staci and John Vreeland of New Plymouth: a son and daughter-in- law. Scott and JaNae Hodge of Payette; a brother, Bill Scott of Caldwell; a sister, JoAnn Smith of Boise; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nadine was preceded in death by both of her parents.
