  	Coon Rapids Enterprise November 22, 1979 Bernard W., son of Francis and Mary Doran Trullinger, was born November 3, 1896 in Guthrie County, Iowa. He attended rural schools near his home and served in the coast artillery during World War I. Following his discharge, he was united in marriage with Esther Unger of Coon Rapids on January 14, 1918. They have made their home in Coon Rapids since that time. Bernard operated a service station and later worked for the Champlin Oil Co until starting to work for Garst & Thomas Seed Corn Company as a salesman in Pocahontas County. Following thirty-five years with the company, Bernard retired in 1967. He had been in failing health the past six years and entered the Thomas Rest Haven two years ago where he died on Saturday, Nov. 17, 1979 at the age of 83 years, and 14 days. He was a charter member of the, American Legion Post of Coon Rapids. Preceding him in death were his parents, a granddaughter, two brothers, Edward and Leonard, sister, Mrs. Gertrude Gilbert. He is survived by his wife, Esther; one son, Robert Trullinger of Portland, Ore; two granddaughters, Susan Bach and Janet Rickel; three sisters: Mrs. May Duncan, Coon Rapids, Mrs. Alf (Bertha) Hetland, Mesa, Az., and Mrs. Don (Jane) Hilgenberg, Coon Rapids; many other relatives and friends.
