- Otto Rogers Rites Set
Funeral services for Otto Rogers, 52, Spencer, former Estherville resident, who died of a heart attack yesterday morning at his home in Spencer, will be held at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow in the Christian Church in Spencer. Graveside services at the East Side Cemetery in Estherville will follow at 3:00 p.m.
Mr. Rogers was born March 27, 1909, in Dunlap, Ill., son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rogers. He moved to Estherville with his parents in 1913. He received his education in Estherville schools. He was married to Dorothy Stoffel of Estherville.
For many years Mr. Rogers was employed by the Seven-up Bottling Company in Spencer, and for the past few years had been an insurance salesman with the American Automobile Association.
He was a member of the Elks, and Moose Lodges, American Legion and Rotary club at Spencer. He was a member of the Christian Church there.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his widow, a son, Arnold of Storm Lake, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Heppner of Spencer, one grandchild, his parents, and one sister, Mrs. Stroud Williams of Winterset. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 20, 1961)
