  Robert Marion Trullinger Des Moines Robert Marion Trullinger, 86, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. Robert was born January 18, 1928 to Carl Marion and Anna Mae (Donaldson) Trullinger at home in Shenandoah, Iowa. Robert graduated from East High in 1945 and enlisted in the USMC at the age of 17. He proudly served in WWII and the Korean War. Robert married Joy Anderson on December 13, 1948. Robert retired as the plant superintendent of Waldinger Corporation after 37 years of service. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joy; children, Sheryl Wendt, Gary (Becky) Trullinger and Larry (Kandie) Trullinger; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Donald, Maxine, Vesta and Ardith. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Galilee Baptist Church, 2208 Des Moines Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Galilee Baptist Church or World Vision in loving memory of Robert.
