  	Hopkins Journal (Hopkins, Missouri), Thursday, March 31, 1949 Mrs. Ruth Coleman Pullen Mrs. Ruth Coleman Pullen, passed away Saturday, March 12, at a sanitarium in Los Angeles, where she had been a patient the past year, after suffering a stroke. Her death was unexpected as she had appeared as well as usual. While the nurse was giving her the noon day meal, she gasped and had expired. Mrs. Pullen spent the early years of her life in the Pickering vicinity. After her marriage to Dol Coleman, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coleman, she resided in Fairview, on the place now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Verlin Brunk. Mr. and Mrs. Coleman and daughters left here some forty-five years ago. She afterward married Mr. Pullen. For many years she was employed as a fitter in the ladies ready-to-wear department of the Bullock-Wilshire department store in Los Angeles. Mrs. Pullen was 72 years of age. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nellie (Coleman) Lyman and Mrs. Beatrice (Coleman) Becker, both of Los Angeles. Mrs. Lew Coleman and Mrs. George Lowry are her nieces; Fred, Don and Fay Gray her nephews. She was buried in the Forest Lawn cemetery by the side of her mother, Mrs. Laura Miles. Editor's Note: Mary's married surname is misspelled as 'Pullen' instead of 'Pullins' in her death notice-obituary. Additionally, her death notice-obituary incorrectly states her death date as 'March 12'. It was actually 5 Mar 1949 per her death certificate. Her age is also incorrectly stated as '72' instead of 71.
