Dora Lorraine Trullinger, 80, died April 3, 2009 at her home in Enterprise with her daughter and husband at her side.
She was born June 8, 1928 in Tipperary, Iowa which was a ghost town. Her parents Raymond Corum and Twila Homsher were living in a shack there at the time. Dora spent time as a foster child and fondly remembered foster parents Dade and Media Huckleberry who parented her through high school. She grew up in Carlisle, Iowa, graduating from Carlisle High School. She went on to college in Des Moines, Iowa and got her degree as a pre-school teacher. During that time she met Robert Dockery and the two were married April 17, 1948.
Dockery served in the Navy. The couple moved to Los Angeles, Calif and Dora raised four children and worked as a pre-school and nursery school teacher.
Dora moved to Chiloquim in 1971 and continued to teach, served as a director of a pre-school and fostered Douglas Benton who is regarded as a son. She and Dockery divorced and she married Joseph Turner of Chiloquim in 1975. She and Joe moved to Enterprise in 1980. After Joe's death in 1988 she remarried Jim Trullinger of Enterprise who survives her.
Dora enjoyed fishing, bird watching, deer hunting with her sons, children and foster children and loved all of her animals. She was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents Dade and Media Huckleberry, second husband Joe Turner and brother Joe Corum.
She is survived by her husband, James Trullinger; sons, Thomas (Katie)Dockery of Seattle, Wash., Robert (Debra) Dockery of Pamplico, S.C., David (Becky) Dockery of Joseph, and Douglas (Cookie) Benton of Prineville; daughter Kathleen Taylor of Enterprise; brother Richard Witmer of Indianapolis, Ind.; ex-husband Robert Dockery of Grants Pass; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service has been scheduled for Dora Lorraine Trullinger,80, of Enterprise who died April 3, 2009. The service is scheduled for11 a.m. April 22 at Enterprise Cemetery.

Dora Lorraine Trullinger, 80, of Enterprise, died April 3 at her home. Private burial will be at the Enterprise Cemetery. Bollman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dora was born June 8, 1928, in Tipperary, Iowa. She grew up in Carlisle, Iowa, and graduated from Carlisle High School.
Dora was a foster parent and a preschool and nursery school teacher and director. She was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and bird watching; she especially loved watching quail. She also enjoyed deer hunting with her sons. She loved all her pets through her life.
Survivors include her husband, James Trullinger of Enterprise; children, Thomas W. Dockery and his wife, Katie, of Seattle, David J. Dockery and his wife, Becky, of Joseph, Robert M. Dockery, and his wife, Debra, of Pamplico, S.C., Douglas Benton and his wife, Cookie, of Prineville, and Kathleen L. Taylor of Enterprise; brothers, Ray Corum of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Richard Witmer of Indianapolis, Ind.; ex-husband, Robert W. Dockery of Grants Pass; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Turner; brother, Joseph Corum; parents, Raymond Corum and Twila Homsher Corum; and foster parents, Dade Huckleberry and Media Huckleberry.
