Jerry Trullinger
OXFORD - Jerry Don Trullinger, 48, of Oxford, assistant director of buildings and grounds at Wellington High School, died May 23, 2001, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Oxford. The Rev. David Lemke will officiate. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery.
Friends may call at Day Funeral Home, Wellington, from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
A memorial has been established with the City of Oxford Recreation Department. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
Trullinger was born June 20, 1952, in Hawthorne, Calif., to Ruby (Ledford) and Richard Trullinger.
On Aug. 31, 1979, he and Lona Marie Holman were married in Las Vegas.
He was a member of Slate Valley Baptist Church and served as Sunday school superintendent there.
For 40 of his 48 years, Trullinger either played or coached baseball. He coached teams from T-Ball to semiprofessional baseball and soccer.
Survivors include his wife, Lona Marie Trullinger, Oxford; four sons, Kevin Evers, Israel, Douglas Evers, Lawrence, and Jeffrey Todd Trullinger and Mark Ryan Trullinger, both of Oxford; a daughter, Tracy Banning, Brea, Calif.; three brothers, Terry Trullinger, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., S.L. Trullinger, Springdale, Ark., and Gary Trullinger, Iowa; a sister, Jackie Fagan, Omaha, Neb.; and one granddaughter.
