- Diane M. (Wilson) Trullinger, 70, of Dauphin, was ushered into the presence of God on Tuesday May 4, 2021, following a two and a half year battle with multiple myeloma.
Born October 5, 1950, in Philipsburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas G. and Eleanor M. (Parsons) Wilson, of Warriors Mark. On May 3, 1974, at Hope Presbyterian Church, in Dauphin, PA, she married Thomas D. Trullinger, who survives her at home.
A 1968 graduate of State College Area High School, State College, PA, she worked as an Administrative Assistant at The Pennsylvania State University at University Park from 1968 to 1974 and at the Capitol Campus from 1974 to 1977. After spending time at home to raise her children, she worked as a paraprofessional in the Central Dauphin Area School District and as an Administrative Assistant at Harrisburg Area Community College in the Department of Criminology and Sociology until she retired in 2015.
She was a member of the Clarks Valley Zion Evangelical Congregational Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher when her children were young and as a member of the choir and women's auxiliary. Diane was raised on a farm in Centre County where she helped with the daily chores and was involved in the local 4-H Club, Young Patrons of Husbandry, and the Grange. She served as the 1971 Centre County Dairy Princess.
Diane was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and a dear friend to many. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and the family dogs. One of her passions was spending time at the beach at Ocean City, MD, and South Bethany Beach, DE, where she met and formed lasting friendships.
In addition to her husband of 47 years, she is survived by one son, Jamie L. Trullinger and his partner Gwen Dunchock, of Dauphin; two daughters, Jessica E. Trullinger-Fickes and husband Doug Fickes, of Mt Holly Springs, and Tara M. Trullinger and her partner Gregory Trahan, of Harrisburg; a sister, Patricia L. Burns and husband Marlin, of Warriors Mark; two sisters-in-law, Georgianna Trullinger, of Harrisburg, and Richelle Price and husband Lynn, of Barnsdall, OK; along with numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 7, 2021 in the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, with Rev. Michael Knapp, officiating. Relatives and Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon prior to the service. Burial will be at the Friends Cemetery, Halfmoon Township in Centre County, near the farm where Diane grew up. Rev. Steven Burns will officiate at the graveside service for the family on Saturday, May 8, 2021. In keeping with the current health guidelines, attendees are encouraged to exercise proper precautions including the wearing of face coverings and appropriate social distancing.
