Mary Belle was 2 years old when her mother died so she would have little or no memory of her mother let alone her mother's maiden name. She should have known her father's name was James and not John. Her son Edwin was the informant for her death certificate and had to be mistaken as to the correct names of his grandparents. (Additional Note: Edwin Clarke Meeks Sr. was the informant on his mother's death certificate and as such, supplied some of the information regarding her. It is clear that he was mistaken regarding her father's name as John Trolinger instead of James Henry Trollinger Sr. and her mother's maiden name as Jones instead of Trollinger. However, it is also possible that the person Edwin was providing the information to who was responsible for actually filling in her death certificate made the mistakes.
