- Clell Howard, 80, of Indianapolis, died January 13, 2004. Born July 4, 1923 in Pennington Gap, VA, he was the widower of Hazel Ruth Carter Howard.
Mr. Howard retired from John M. Wooley Lumber Company, Mooresville, in 1988 after 27 years as a timber buyer. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ and a WWII Army veteran.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2004, in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. January 15 at the funeral chapel. Burial in Mooresville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Edna Wolven Howard; son, Clell Dudley Howard; daughter, Linda Ruth Harris; step-son, Les "Bud" Allen Harris; step-daughter, Lynette Mae Angleton; brothers, Robert and Bernard G. Howard; sisters, Jewel King, Barbara Alice Gary and Maxine Land; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
