- Phyllis A. Padgett, 73, of Indianapolis, died September 16, 2006. She was born January 17, 1933 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Joe and Ruth (Denton) Shaw.
She worked for the Warren Township School Corporation as a bus driver retiring in 1988. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was the widow of Thomas G. Padgett.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Lydia Ragsdale; sons, Thomas, Kevin, Michael and Joseph Padgett; brothers, Joseph, David, Arthur Shaw; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 21 at 9:30 a.m. at the Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Family and friends may call Tuesday, September 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, September 20, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow in Washington Park East. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Society.
