Bessie (presumably) provided Martha's birth date as 27 Sep 1859. Being Martha's daughter-in-law versus her own daughter, it seems reasonable that Bessie may not have entirely known Martha's true and full birth date with absolute certainty. It appears Bessie correctly knew Martha's birth month of September but was off by one year on her birth year. Her birth day of 23 may or may not be completely accurate. It most likely is accurate however.
