Excerpts from "Burton Our Ancestry Caswell County NC 1793-1978) By Nancy Bee McMullen Lea Boon, Gibsonville, North Carolina 1978" regarding her half-brother William Jasper Trollinger II: "After "Mr Will's" (affectionately called by my mother) death, my mother knew that she was pregnant. My half-brother was born that Fall. During this time Aunt Sallie and Uncle Albert gave her much comfort and love. W. J. Trollinger II was born in their home. The store and home was sold and my mother and new baby moved in with Uncle George and Aunt Sallie alternatively until my mother's stepmother lost her health and the stepmother went home to live with two old maid sisters. My mother went back home to take care of her father as she had done at the age of 15. Mother was a widow for twelve years." and also "In the year 1897 my Uncle Tom Burton, who was married to Margaret Trollinger, came home to live. Margaret was a cousin of my mother's first husband, William Trollinger. The Tom Burton children; Will, SUdie B. Warren (only daughter now alive, 1978), Blanche B. Walker, Drury, Zeb, "Little Joe" Ralph who died after a watermelon seed lodged in his windpipe, and Hugh Davis (only son living) were double first cousins of my half-brother, Will.
