- BOONEVILLE - Marvin James Trollinger, 101, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 21, 1901, in Tishomingo County to the late Lem and Julia O'Neal Trollinger. He was a retired farmer and after retirement did yard work for the public on his tractor for over 20 years. He was a member of the North Rienzi Church of Christ for 80 years and served there as an Elder for over 40 years. He was married to Mable Henry Trollinger for over 45 years; she died in 1973. He loved his family and working with the church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Zion Rest Church of Christ with Bro. Gene Thornton and Bro. Steve Pope officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Salt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Pauline DeCicco and her husband, Phil, of Warrington, Pa.; three sons, Doyle Trollinger and his wife, Dons, of Booneville, Gilbert Trollinger and his wife, Wanda, of Judsonsia, Ark., and Gene Trollinger and his wife, Faye, of Rienzi; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mable Henry Trollinger; his parents, Lem and Julia Trollinger; two brothers, Frank Trollinger and infant brother, Arlan Trollinger; two sisters, Cora Sanders and Hattie Bailey; one grandson, Terry Trollinger.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
