"Albert E. Stoup, 50, Attica, former resident of Veedersburg, died at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where he had been a patient for only a few hours. Although in failing health the past year his death was unexpected. Born June 27, 1903, at Veedersburg, Mr. Stoup was the son of Ross and Maude Yetter Stoup. He married Mabel Merrill in 1926. He had resided in Attica since 1944 where he was a storekeeper for the Harrison Steel Casting Company. Prior to that time he had managed a bread route east and south of Covington. He is a second cousin of Frank Stoup, Covington, Route 1. Surviving are the widow; a son, Robert Dean at home; the father, Ross Stoup, Yeddo, and a stepmother. Funeral service were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the family home, 811 E. Jackson Street, Attica. Rev. Samuel Pritchard of Veedersburg EUB Church officiated. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery near Attica." - Covington Republican, Covington, Indiana
