  	Salisbury-Ruth Purvis Trollinger, age 94, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House from a courageous battle of dementia. Born on September 21, 1927, in Lumberton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Elsie Knapp Purvis and the late John Dawson Purvis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Decker Trollinger, Jr., daughter, Charlotte Leigh Walker, and was the last of 6 siblings to enter the Mighty Kingdom. She is survived by her daughter, Gail T. Mosher (Wayne) of Salisbury, sons, Edward D. Trollinger, III (Kim) of Damascus, MD, John Kenneth Trollinger (Saroja) of Columbia, MD, grandchildren- Dana Barrow Kleine (David), Matthew D. Trollinger (Danielle), Kristin G. Townsend (Justin), A. Karim Sijoud, Morgan Mosher (Jessica), Jeffrey Mosher, great-grandchildren- Katie Kleine, Christian Kleine, Decker Trollinger, Evelyn Trollinger, Anna Trollinger, Peter Townsend, Liam Sijoud, Winnie Mosher. Ruth and Ed were members of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Salisbury and loved singing in the choir and participating in shows. When they lived in MD, they sang in the church choir at Christ Church, Kensington, and were members of Barbershop & Sweet Adeline Choruses. Ruth was in a Sweet Adeline quartet named M'Ladies Four. Ruth loved children and helping others in need. She had a kind heart and will be dearly missed by those who knew her. A special thanks to all the past and present employees of Elmcroft Assisted Living (formerly Carillon) for taking care of Ruth during her nearly 6 years of living there. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 131 W. Council St. Salisbury, NC 28146 A memorial service with interment of ashes in the St. Luke's columbarium to be at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.summersettfuneralhome.com.
