ship for hearing the ship was hit by a kamakazi killing everyone on board he was just 21 i was a supply officer aboard the uss oceanus a battle damage repair ship in the pacific while in shanghai to repair ships after the war
ended i entered a group of men in a basketball tournament put on by special services we won the tournament defeating an army team in the finals my star player was bill sharman in the basketball hall of fame as player for the celtics
and coach for the lakers i also won the tennis tournament we were united states basketball champions shanghai china 1945 and i was united states tennis champion
shanghai china 1945 i was born in miniapolis minn nov 6 1922 but brought up in santa monica ca my father oakley was born in binkelman nb iln 1899 my mother florence was born in wisconsin in 1900 your
