- BURLINGTON - Mrs. Lillie Bell Parrish Trollinger, 86, daughter of the late Sandy and Jennie Parrish, was born in Orange County on Dec. 2, 1918. She was called to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She resided at 743 Rauhut Street prior to becoming a resident of Liberty Commons Health Care the last two years. She lived in Burlington for over 75 years.
The service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Apple Street, Burlington and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaiah Trollinger Sr., and a granddaughter, Donna.
She was a faithful and long time member of First Baptist Church, 508 Apple Street, Burlington.
Survivors are a daughter, Virginia A. Richardson (Leroy); four sons, Thomas P. Trollinger (Kay) of Winston-Salem, Charles D. Trollinger (Evelyn), John Trollinger (Fail) and Isaiah Trollinger Jr. (Mary) , all of Burlington; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Catherine Brinson and Gracie Minor (Roosevelt) of Miami, Fla., Lula Jane Hooker (Connie ) of Graham and Estelle Raynor (Henry) of Goldsboro; two brothers, Leroy Parrish (Ruth) of Chapel Hill and Sandy Parrish (Jo Ellen) of Durham; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Sharpe Funeral Home, Inc. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 508 Apple Street and other times at the home of John Trollinger, 535 N. Beaumont Ave., Burlington, (alternate) Virginia Richardson, 429 Jeffries Street Burlington.
