  	Julius' birth year varies dramatically from document to document. It appears the most probable year would be 1862. He lists his age as 20 on his 1882 marriage record with Mary producing a birth year of 1862. He later lists his age as 25 on his 1887 marriage record with Martha also producing a birth year of 1862. In the 1870 Census is age is given as 10 which produces a birth year of about 1860 and closely correlates with his two marriage records. His son Harold, who was the informant on his death certificate, states his birth date as 14 May 1884. His birth day and month of 14 May per his death certificate are most likely correct as they are the dates children like Harold are prone to remember as they celebrate their parent's annual birthday. However, his birth year of 1884 appears to be grossly incorrect. For these reasons it seems most likely that his true and full birth date is probably 14 May 1862.
