1930 census lists occupation as clerk.steel plant, Charlie did some genealogy work of the McGinnis family based on some old letters and documents the Pattersons had but was rather sloppy and liked to link to well known people with the same names.
Charlie Meier letter 30 1 1967 to Charles F. Drollinger mentions ..."I have lost all contact with the Pattersons and Stamms in Calif. I did learn from my cousin, Helen Meier Schremmer who went to school with Ethel Patterson that Ethel married a Craig and moved to east end. Her sister Mae Patterson, I doubt ever married, worked in PA RR office on Penn Ave, but I wrote and they had no record."
Later on page 5 he writes: "I have lost track of Kenneth and Edna Marion Stamm in Hollywood. Edna Marion for some reason used Marion Edna and married a fellow named Taylor. Ike's daughter Dorothy married a Neal of O'Neal and lived in north Hollywood. Cousin Bill (the chauffer) was killed out there (that is Mae and Ethel's father, their mother was a Brinkman on North Side PGH). Bert (Albert Patterson) I know had a bunch of sons, one in Texas and at least one girl. (Bert's wife was a Springer) Walt Stamm died; but last I learned had gone to a theater with son, Kenneth and one of those self rising seats caused her to get hurt but that was the last I had any news of course Aunt Mame passed away out in Calif. I understand.
... but maybe I got Bill patterson's wife Tillie mixed up but I feel sure Tillie was a Brinkman as my Father worked with Tillie's father there on (East) Ohio street near Middle street in the roofing business.
18 Sep 1969 letter to Chas Drollinger 3700 Perrysville Ave

Also didn't you ever visit Aunt Mame McGinnis Patterson on Maple Ave (2308 if I remember as my Meier cousin cousin lives and ownes 2408 Maple Ave now). Belle Patterson Stamm lived there in her mother's house with husband Walt, children Kenneth and Edna Marion along with "Auntie" ; whom I was never certainshe was grandfather's youngest sister, Fannie McGinnis Holland; or if she grandfather's Mother (Hannah Staples), which is authentic as Aunt Fannie's death certif. was shown as maiden name and uncle Alex Patterson signed it 5 Nov 1909. Just got a copy of it recently.

None of the Pattersons do I have contact and I sure would like to write telephone company in North Hollywood and see if they have Dorothy Patterson Oneill and Kenneth Stamm and Marion (she married a Buford Taylor) address.Ike's wife Peggt (Dunn) died after 1942 when I left Wash. D.C. and my last letter of 3 Dec 1968 was marked "moved not forwardable".
Peg and Dorothy copied old letters of grand parents which was the basis for getting so much McGinnis family genealogy.
