She was employed and retired from Winston-Salem State University as a domestic engineer. She was a member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member of the Deborah Missionary Group as long as her health permitted. Flora was married to James C. Trollinger for 60 beautiful years until death parted them. From this union, they were blessed with four children, James Jr., Shirley, Larry and Detricha. She was preceded in death by her parents, Villard and Fannie; brothers, Joseph, Roy, Ranzy and John Penn; and sisters, Nellie Hatcher, Dolly Penn and Louvenia Clark. She leaves to cherish her precious memories three sisters, Ellen (Ben) Patterson of Winston-Salem, Lillie Hatcher of Harrisburg, Pa. and Peggy Armstrong (Sherman) of Winston-Salem; her brother, Jerry Penn, of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Shirley (Bishop James) Wright and Detricha (Ronald) Smith of Winston-Salem; two sons, James Trollinger Jr. of Washington, D.C., and Larry Trollinger of Harrisburg, Pa., 10 grand-children; 15 great-grandchil-dren; a devoted niece, Evelyn Penn; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and her lifetime friends, Mrs. Yvetra Carter, Mrs. Maggie Booker, Ms. Mazella Jamison and Mother Ollie Salley. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thurs-day, June 9, at Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.R. Samuels officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from noon to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gilmore Funeral Home.
