----------------------
William Scott Spradlin, 53, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on April 9, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to LaDon and Wieland Spradlin. Scott attended Oklahoma State University after graduating from Will Rogers High School in 1977.
He went on to have a rewarding and successful career in the insurance industry and was employed by the Glenn Harris & Associates Insurance as an Independent Insurance Agent before his death.
His love for his family was immeasurable. They included his wife, son, parents, brother with wife, brother with wife. His marriage to Leonor introduced him to an additional four sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, a loving mother-in-law (the late Norma Curva) and best-friend father-in-law (Dr. Leoncio Curva). At last count, there were seven nephews, seven nieces, five great nephews, and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott loved traveling, taking cruises in the Caribbean, visiting family in Texas, Nevada, Washington and Florida, driving with Tyler to OKC Thunder games, and rooting for the Oklahoma State University Cowboys, Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals.
We all will remember Scott with a smile on his face, and he made everyone around him smile too ? his family, his friends, and his colleagues and clients. He touched so many lives; we will all have to try very hard to fill the place in our hearts that he leaves unfilled.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 29th, 1pm-8pm and Rosary at 6pm, and Monday, July 30th, 12pm-8pm at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E 91st St, Tulsa. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am Tuesday, July 31st at the Church of The Resurrection, 4804 S Fulton, Tulsa. A graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
