GREENSBORO— Charles Wesley Brown, 61, of Greensboro passed awayThursday, March 31, 2005.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Oak View BaptistChurch in High Point.
Mr. Brown was born Sept. 24, 1943, in Guilford County to the lateCharles Edgar Brown and Juanita Oliver Brown.
Mr. Brown was a long time member and a deacon of Oak View BaptistChurch. Charlie was a simple man and enjoyed working outside fixingthings. He was a true handyman of all trades. Charlie was also a funman. He enjoyed roller coasters, spending time on cruises and spendingtime with his family. He loved being a Dad and was the best at doingthe things that Daddies do. The most important thing in life was hisfaith. Charlie was devoted to his family and loved and cherished hiswife. He loved four things Jesus, Mom, his children, and friends. Hewas loved by all of his family. We will miss him dearly and will lovehim forever.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Frankie Brown; four daughters,Debbie Brown, Kathy Douglas, Tammy Graves and husband Steven and TonyaHaithcock and husband Robert, all of Greensboro; one son, Keith Brownand wife Carolyn of Climax; brother Bill Brown and wife Sue ofGreensboro; sisters, Judy Lynch and husband Calton of Greensboro andNancy Trollinger and husband Doug of Liberty; seven grandchildren,Christopher, Britney, Tyler, Alyxis, Logan, Dustin and Tanner.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today atHanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
