STANFORD, Marilyn 83, went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2009 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born February 17, 1926 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of Robert and Cleo Turner. Marilyn worked as a cook for a Restaurant from which she had retired. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Diane L. (Significant other, Larry Edwards) Harris of Springfield, Ohio Mary Jo Trollinger of South Caroline two sons Wade Stanford of Rhode Island Ellis L. (Becky) Stanford Jr. of Springfield, Ohio. The Father of her Children, Ellis L Stanford Sr. "Short Stick" of Springfield, Ohio. A, host of Grandchildren and great Grandchildren nieces, nephews, special friends Gloria and Willie Wells and Betsy Wilkerson. She is preceded in death by her parents. Service for Marilyn Stanford will be held Thursday May 7, 2009 at Porter-Qualls Funeral Home 823 S. Yellow Springs St. Springfield, Ohio. Visitation will be 11:00am with family present at 12 noon until time of service which will be at 1:00pm with Reverend Clara Boyd Williams officiating. Internment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 934 Innisfallen. Arrangements entrusted to Porter-QuaIls Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel.
