Obituary
Michael "Mike" Cronin was born on November 7, 1939 in Terrell, Texas to the late John and Maxine Lovell Cronin. He married Tricia Trollinger on January 30, 1960 and they lived and raised their family in Terrell. He passed away after a short illness on November 14, 2015.
He graduated from Terrell High School in 1958 and from North Texas State University in 1963. He then began a 19 year career with Employers Insurance of Texas. In 1983 he joined The American National Bank of Texas as a Vice President in commercial lending. He retired from the Bank in 2006 but remained very active serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors until his death. He served on numerous other boards throughout his professional career which included Board Chairman of the Trinity River Authority, Chairman of the Terrell Chamber of Commerce, Founding President of Terrell Economic Development Corporation and most recently a board member of Terrell ISD Excellence Foundation.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Tricia Cronin in 2009.
Mike will be remembered for his compassion, sound counsel and dedication to his family and community. He was a loyal friend to many and gave countless hours of service. But his most important quality was being the best father and grandfather in the entire world.
Visitation will be 5-7:30pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell, TX. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at The First United Methodist Church in Terrell with interment following at Oakland Memorial Park.
