Hey Friends.
I'm sure by now many of you know we recently and unexpectedly lost our Momma/Nanny on Aug. 15, 2021.
The past few months she has dealt with many health issues. Shortly after her 70th birthday in March she had fallen and lost strength in her legs and the ability to stand alone and it was one infection after another. She even undergone surgery to have a pacemaker put in. She chose to go into rehab to get better. She was so determined. She was a fighter. And there for a while she did get better. She was happy to prove to us she could do it and she did. We never doubted her.
July 27th after being vaccinated in April, she tested positive for Covid-19, while in the care of the rehab facility. She developed pneumonia and was placed in ICU to receive medication to fight the virus.
Aug. 7 she was cleared and moved into a regular room. She still had a bout of pneumonia and had to be quarantine.
We were counting down the days that we could visit and hug her tightly. That day never came.
We got the call on Sunday morning and was advised she had taken a turn for the worse. We couldn't get to her fast enough and the doctor had called back within minutes to tell us she had passed.
It was a complete shock that our Queen was gone. Gone without family around her when she took her last breath.
This past week has been very difficult for our family. The thought of her passing all alone in her room without her husband, her girls and her grandchildren is heart wrenching. Her daughters Gloria and Pamela, and her grandson Devyn have tested positive for Covid-19 and must remain in quarantine.
This is not easy for us. We are struggling with the high cost of her funeral arrangements and must ask for help.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so.
If you are unable to donate, please leave a thought, a prayer or a memory you have of her.
Thank you all for the love and support you have shown us in person, on Facebook, through calls and text messages. Because of her we are loved by so many. She truly was an amazing woman. And we will continue to talk to her and pray that she walks with us every day and give us the strength.
