  • Notes
    • Note: I believe 'Estee' is the phonetic spelling of what I believe are his initials, 'S. T.'. He is identified in the 1923 Chattanooga city directory as 'Samuel T Belcher'. His mother, Frances has a half brother whose name is Samuel Jim Trollinger (1891-1977). I believe Estee may well have received his first name of Samuel in honor of this Samuel. I believe his middle initial of 'T' may well stand for Trollinger in honor of his mother's maiden name. Therefore, I believe his full birth name may be Samuel Trollinger Perkerson and later Samuel Trollinger Belcher. 'ST' would seem to be a simple nickname. (David H. Drollinger 23 Mar 2021)
