She taught herself to be a gourmet cook and loved to cook meals for her family as just one of the many ways that she took care of people that she loved. She still did this well even, when the cancer treatments took her sense of taste and smell. She loved to do large and small things for people. Even to people that she barely knew. One of the many small things that she took to doing was to give colorful butterfly magnets to cashiers, wait-persons, and any body that she came in contact with to spread random acts of kindness and acts of beauty all in one. To those she shared this act with she became know as the "Butterfly Lady" Our parents taught us how to be a parent and a spouse and to live in this life trying to give more than we receive. She taught us how to love and we hope that we can carry on her lesson. Her love will be with us and our families as long as we live and even after. Love is the greatest of our gifts from God. There will be memorial service May 1, 2010, at the Prayer Chapel in Goose Creek the time will be announced later.
