    • Enjoy your genealogy website as it has provided me much useful information.
I am researching Callie Estelle Drewlinger (1886-1912)who I understand is my great grandmother. She was married to Walter Divens (1883-?) who died in a coal mining accident in Illinois on a date I am not yet familiar with. It is also my understanding, Callie Divens gave birth to a son whom was named William, well after Walter Divens death, leaving the father of William unknown.
You have a note with William Drewlinger's file which states "At least one living, or private, individual is linked to this note- details withheld". Can you tell me what this note means?
It appears Callie Divens died three months after the birth of William.
It is then my understanding William was adopted by Jacob Crum Ligon, and his wife Marie, who then changed his name to Jacob Lynn Ligon.
My main goal here is to discover the actual father of William Drewlinger. If there is any additional information you might have to help me out with this endeavor, it would be much appreciated.
      Thanks,
      Barry E. Ligon
