- Esther M. (Kerr) Yerger, age 91, formerly of Pottstown, PA, died on Wednesday, May 05, 2010 at the Naamans Creek Country Manor, Boothwyn, PA. She was the wife of the late Paul L. Yerger, who died in 1997.
Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Ada (May) Kerr.
Mrs. Yerger was employed by the Spring City Knitting Company and Gudebrods. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an especially accomplished cook. Mrs. Yerger also participated in an unofficial ladies group with her friends, spending many afternoons talking and sharing tea.
Survivors include:
One Son Paul E. Yerger of Mannington, NJ. Two Daughters Marsha, wife of Tom Burns of Ocean View, DE, Gloria Rudisill of Reading, PA. Five Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Kerr and her sister, Hazel Cobb.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Mount Zion Cemetery, Rts. 724 and Hanover Sts., Pottstown, PA. The Rev. John Smolik will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., of Pottstown, PA.
