  My father's name, Joel D. Trolinder. His middle name is just the initial "D", it does not stand for anything else. He said when he was drafted into the Army, they wanted to know his middle name (they said the D had to stand for something). He told them it was just D, they could spell it D double E if they wanted to, but it was still D. He had quite a sense of humor.
