- Otis was born May 11, 1934 and grew up in Big Spring, TX before moving to Midland in 1953. He worked in the oil business and the insurance business before retiring in 2005. In 1952, he married his childhood sweetheart, Louise Myers in Big Spring. She died in 2007 after a long, trying illness. Otis is survived by his present wife, Earline Robinson, in Carthage, MS, son Jim Trolinder & his wife,Bunny, in Grants Pass, Oregon, son David Trolinder in Midland, sister Lavern Berryman in Sedona, AZ, brother Del Trolinder in Midland, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4pm-8pm on Saturday, Feb 8th at Ellis Funeral Home and funeral services will be at 2pm on Sunday, Feb 9th.

Otis O. Trolinder, 85, formerly of Midland, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Ridgeland, MS. He was born May 11, 1934 in Childress, TX to the late Lela Mae (Odom) and Clyde Trolinder. Otis married Louise Myers and they moved to Midland in 1954. They were married for 56 years when she passed away in 2007. He worked as an insurance agent and retired from Allstate in 2005. In 2010, he married Earline Bell. He is survived by his wife, Earline Trolinder; sons, Jimmy Trolinder and David Trolinder; sister, Lavern Berryman; brother, Del Trolinder; five grandchildren, Dave, Crystal, Coby, Jacob and Amanda; seven great grandchildren, David, Shelby, Cierra, Memphis, Kennedy, Mystery, and Malachi; and two great-great grandchildren, Ansley and Cadence. Otis is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Trolinder; parents, Clyde and Lela Mae Trolinder; and brother, Marvin Trolinder. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 2 PM at Ellis Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bartlett officiating.
