    • Ila "Dell" Beadle, 94, of Amarillo, TX died Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

      Following a private family burial, a memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Polk Street United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

      Dell was born May 20, 1927, in Kirkland, TX to Earnest and Lula Trolinder, one of seven children. She joined the Methodist Church at age 12, on September 10, 1939, at Marshall Methodist Church near Quanah, TX.

      She met a handsome barber named Elvin E. Beadle and married him on November 12, 1950, in Chillicothe, TX. They raised two special daughters, Janet Ruth, and Pamela Joan.

      She lived at Craig Methodist Retirement Community for over 15 years. She was involved in the chapel services leading the singing.

      Dell was active at Polk Street United Methodist Church, working in the children's ministry for years. She was a member of Church Women United. She joined Order of the Eastern Star in February 1956 in Sunray, TX and served as Worthy Matron 1962-1963, Sunray Chapter. She was a current member of Dumas Chapter ? OES #653 and an endowed member of Amarillo Chapter ? OES #787.

      Dell enjoyed spending time with family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandson.

      She is preceded in death by her husband, E.E. Beadle; her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

      Survivors include her daughters, Janet Beadle Baldwin and husband Larry of Amarillo, TX, and Pam Beadle, also of Amarillo, TX; her granddaughters, Jacquelyn Ruth Walker of Amarillo, TX, and Ashley Michelle Hefner of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandson, Brody Kale Walker, of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Faye Turvaville of Childress, TX, and Ruby LaFollette of Highview, WV; and numerous nephews and nieces.

    • DUMAS - Helen Brandon, 83, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007. Jesse H.Brandon, 86, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007.
      Joint services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United MethodistChurch with the Rev. Beth Harrington, pastor of the church,officiating, assisted by former pastor, the Rev. John Wagoner. Burialwill be in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray by Morrison FuneralDirectors.
      Mrs. Brandon was born April 30, 1923, in Chillicothe. Mr. Brandon wasborn March 7, 1920, in Oklahoma.
      Helen and Jesse were married June 1, 1941, in Acme. They had lived inthe Texas Panhandle since 1946, moving to Dumas in 1965. They werelong-time members of First United Methodist Church. Helen was anEnglish and language arts teacher, retiring from Hillcrest School in1984. Jesse worked for Diamond Shamrock Oil and Gas for 33 years,retiring in 1980. In their 65 years of marriage, Helen and Jesstravelled all over the United States, Canada and parts of Mexico.
      The couple was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Brandon in 1988and Lloyd Brandon in 1997; and a granddaughter.
      Mrs. Brandon was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother,R.B. Trolinder, in 1992.
      Mr. Brandon was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother; andthree sisters.
      Survivors of the couple include a son, Gene Brandon of Dumas; ninegrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and agreat-great-grandchild.
      Mrs. Brandon is also survived by four sisters, Dell Beadle ofAmarillo, Neva Eudy of Beaver, Okla., Faye Turvaville of Childress andRuby Lafollette of Highview, W.Va.; and a brother, Lawrence Trolinderof Amarillo.
      Mr. Brandon is also survived by seven nieces; and three nephews.
