Ed was born on April 29, 1930, in Girard. He married Dell Trolinder onNov. 12, 1950, in Chillicothe. He was past Master of Palo Duro MasonicLodge No. 1239, Past District Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodgeof Texas and Past Worthy Patron of Sunray, Bonita and AmarilloChapters OES. He worked as a Safety Inspector for Kemper Insurance.After his retirement, he worked at Lake Tanglewood as a security guarduntil his health failed him in November 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Dell; two daughters, Janet Hefner ofAmarillo and Pam Beadle of Trophy Club; a sister, Nelma Smith of YubaCity, Calif.; and two granddaughters, Jacquelyn and Ashley Hefner ofAmarillo.
The family suggests memorials be to Polk Street United MethodistChurch, 1401 S. Polk, Amarillo, TX 79101 or Olivia's Angels, in careof BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
