- Miss Pauline Elizabeth Furr, 30, a native of Hillsboro and formerly a grade teacher in the Wallace school expired at 2 o'clock Sunday morning at her home south of Hillsboro. She had been in poor health for a number of years, suffering with tuberculosis.
Born on a farm southwest of the place, September 8, 1906, Miss Furr was the daughter of Rowe and Grace Livengood Furr. She was graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1925 and later attended Indiana State Normal and Madame Blaker's school at Indianapolis.
Miss Furr was well known and popular with her pupils. She was a member of the New Liberty Christian church and also belonged to the Eastern Star of Wallace.
Surviving are the parents; one brother, Parvin Furr of Crawfordsville; one sister, Miss Genieve Furr at home; and a grandfather, Sol Livengood.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Christian church at Hillsboro at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. George W. Ross officiating. Interment will be made in the Rose Hill cemetery in Hillsboro, November 12, 1936
