Mr. Bearden was born on May 30, 1929, in Shelbyville, TN, to the late Crawford "CB" Bearden and Mary Trolinger Bearden. On Dec. 25, 1965, he married Shirley Gibson Bearden, who survives. Rell retired from the Cairo Fire Department and Cairo Baptist Church. He loved Braves Baseball, the Cairo Syrupmakers and Elvis. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo.
Survivors include: his wife, Shirley Bearden of Cairo, GA; sons, Samuel Culver (Lynn) of Dalton, GA, Randy Bearden of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Theresa Neill (Tommy) of Cairo, GA, Chris Culver of Chattanooga, TN, Jonathan Fallin (Shannon) of Ringgold, GA; great-grandchildren, Makayla Lock, Bailey Lock, both of Dalton, GA, Elliett Charles of Ringgold, GA; brothers, Johnny Bearden (Twila) of Cairo, GA, Freddy Bearden (Linda) of Cairo, GA; sister, Mary Ann Henderson of Dalton, GA; beloved pet, J. D.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
