    • Funeral services for Richard V. RAFFERTY, 63, of Coon Rapids will be Monday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at the Annunciation Church in Coon Rapids. The Rev. Robert Fangman will officiate at the services. Mr. Rafferty died Thursday, April 6, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Omaha, Neb. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Coon Rapids. Rosaries at the funeral home will be Sunday at 3 p.m. An evening prayer service will be held at 8 p.m., followed by a rosary. Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery with military honors.

      Survivors include his wife of Coon Rapids; his mother of Coon Rapids; four sons; seven grandchildren; two sisters, and one brother.

      He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd RAFFERTY.

      Mr. RAFFERTY was born on Dec. 30, 1925, near Coon Rapids, the son of Floyd and Loretta (KULT) RAFFERTY. In 1943, he graduated from Coon Rapids High School. He served in U.S. Army Air Corps as gunner in India and China during World War II. On Aug. 27, 1946, he married Geraldine DUNCAN, and they made their home in Coon Rapids, where he was employed by Garst and Thomas Seed Corn Co. At one time, he also owned and operated a hardware store in Manning and ran the Lyric theater in Coon Rapids with his father. He was a member of Annunciation Parish and the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
