- Shirley Adams Trolinger
Longtime Shawnee resident Shirley Adams Trolinger, born in Springfield, Missouri, passed away April 9, 2015, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 73.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Velma Burton Adams and Robert W. Adams, and her husband, Joseph Trolinger.
She is survived by her daughter Taune Trolinger Shortt of California, grandsons Ryan Bergmann and wife Jordan and Kyle Bergmann, and granddaughter Morgan Shortt.
Shirley and Joseph Trolinger owned and operated a local business, Trolinger Paint and Decorating, in Shawnee for many years. Following Joe's death, Shirley operated the business. She was well-known in Shawnee.
Shirley volunteered at the local Salvation Army and was a docent for many years at the National Western Heritage Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. Volunteering was her passion and enjoyment. She will be missed by many people.
A private family memorial service will be held by her daughter, Taune Shortt, in California.
There will be no local services.

Shirley Trolinger was a great woman with a big heart. she was always dong and saying something too make you laugh. she owned and ran Trolinger paint co. in Shawnee OK are family was bless too have met her and worked for her. she always help are family out and stood by us she was like family too us. She was a very hard worker she was know by many and loved by many in Shawnee OK Her life here on Earth was a blessing too all that came across her. May she rest in peace Fly high your in Gods arms now we love you and miss you so much
