Notes - Anna Marie Euler Jacobs born June 1, 1811 to Johann Adam & Catharina Zieg Euler in Germany. A widow with four children. She came to this country in 1852 and settled in Marion County. A woman of remarkable rugged constitution and strong Christian character. She established here a Christian home. Her husband Martin preceded her in death along with a son Martin Jr. that was killed in the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1, 1863. Three children, eighteen grandchildren and forty-one great grandchildren and a large concourse of relatives and friends followed the remains to the Prospect cemetery. She was a life long member of the Reformed church and died triumphantly in the faith of her Redeemer on Sept. 12, 1897 age 86 years 3 months and 12 days. Rev. C. M. Schaaf of the Reformed chruch preached the funeral sermon from Job 5:26 "Thou shalt come to they grave in full age like a shock of corn in his season."
