  	1894 May 3 Wabash Plain Dealer: OBIT - DEATH OF MRS. VADE TITUS Vade Drollinger was born near Roann May 23, 1864, and died Friday, April 27, 1894, near Largo, aged thirty years. She was married to Francis M. Titus May 22, 1884. Mrs. Titus leaves a very large number of friends, as she was kind and pleasant in her manner. Her death greatly shocked her relatives, as it was unexpected until just a few hours before she passed away. She leaves her husband and four children to mourn their great loss, also other relatives in this county. The husband has the sympathy of the entire community in his great bereavement. Funeral services were held last Sunday at Roann, in the presence of a large congregation, and the remains were interred in the cemetery at that place. Vada Drollinger Titus died at a young age but left 4 children at the time of her death, 3 boys and a daughter. Her daughter was adopted by her sister Rose and raised as a Miller.

  What was Nevada's actual date of birth? -- 2004 Headstone show DOB as 5-21-1864, Family bible shows 5-28-1864 (Ref data provided by Harry Benjamin Drollinger); obit says 23 May 1864. I think I would probably trust the Family Bible date since I'm assuming her birth date was entered into it by her parents within a reasonable time following her birth. (David H. His name is Jerry Titus and lives on the east coast (is in poor health). Some time over the last year he told me about the Titus Family Bible and I have requested the data from him.Below is the email and contents of the bible he sent to me on the 8th of this month. He stated that he was afraid to copy the pages because of the over all poor condition of the bible. After reading all the data, I think this is a Titus Family Bible but contains data on Drollingers. More bible data .... You cuz'n Ben ========================================================= Dear Ben, I have no definite knowledge whether this is the FRANK and VADA Titus Bible. This appears to be an first publication. Front page states: Philadelphia J.B. Lippincott & Co 1860 When Dorothy Eccles's brother, Hugh, had possession of it, she and Doc noticed that it was in very bad condition and had it rebound, and it is now very sturdy. The pages are tightly bound. In the middle there are 3 pages (VERY YELLOWED AND DIFFICULT TO READ)and I would not want the responsibility of trusting ANYONE to FORCE open the pages to try and copy what is written on the pages, some of which is barely legible, and probably not copy in view of the condition of the pages.
