- MIXON - Randall "Randy" O'Dell Rothrock, aged 72, of Mixon, TX, peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home on November 10, 2023, with his devoted wife, Jan Rothrock, by his side. His transition marked the end of his pain and suffering, welcoming a serene joy as he has finally achieved victory in Jesus and reunification with cherished loved ones in Heaven. In accordance with John 14:1-3, Randy has now found eternal peace, "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also."
Born on February 9, 1951, at Mother St. Francis Hospital in Tyler, TX, Randy displayed an early inclination for both competition and intellect. His exceptional academic prowess led him to graduate at the top of his class in 1969 from Milby High School in Houston, TX. His admirable spirit of service saw him enlist in the US Army after graduation, serving honorably in Vietnam. Following his military service, Randy delved into the emerging field of computer programming, embarking on a remarkable 40-year career with UCS (Universal Computer Systems) until his retirement in 2014.
